Seeing that, the man at once heaved a deep sigh. Then, remembering the lotus-feet of Lord Śiva, he spoke to his beloved wife.

Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadashiva
Significance: Remembrance of Śiva’s lotus-feet (pāda-smaraṇa) is presented as the turning point from distress to right speech and right action—an inner pilgrimage accessible anywhere.
Type: stotra
The verse highlights śiva-smaraṇa—remembering Śiva’s lotus-feet—as an immediate refuge that steadies the mind and redirects one’s response from fear or agitation toward devotion and dharmic speech.
Remembering Śiva’s lotus-feet is a Saguna (personal) devotional focus; in Jyotirliṅga-centered narratives of the Koṭirudra Saṃhitā, such remembrance supports faith in Śiva’s accessible grace through sacred forms and pilgrimage.
A simple practice is nāma-smaraṇa and dhyāna: silently recall Śiva’s feet while repeating the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to calm the breath and act with clarity.
