नूनं हरिष्यते राजा त्वद्धनं नात्र संशयः । धिग्धिक्त्वां ते धनं धिक्च धिक्ते मानं हि वन्ध्यके
nūnaṃ hariṣyate rājā tvaddhanaṃ nātra saṃśayaḥ | dhigdhiktvāṃ te dhanaṃ dhikca dhikte mānaṃ hi vandhyake
“Surely the king will seize your wealth—of this there is no doubt. Shame on you! Shame on your riches, and shame on that pride of yours, O barren woman!”

Tattva Level: pasha
It condemns arrogance rooted in wealth and status, warning that worldly possessions are unstable; Shaiva teaching emphasizes humility and turning the mind toward Pati (Shiva) rather than clinging to transient power.
Linga-worship trains the devotee to see Shiva as the enduring Reality beyond loss and gain; this verse highlights how pride collapses under worldly change, while devotion to Saguna Shiva steadies the heart in dharma.
Practice restraint of speech (mauna or gentle speech), recite the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) to purify anger, and offer bhasma with a vow of humility as a remedy for pride.
