कृतकर्मक्षयो नास्ति कल्पकोटिशतैरपि । अवश्यमेव भोक्तव्यं कृतं कर्म शुभाशुभम्
kṛtakarmakṣayo nāsti kalpakoṭiśatairapi | avaśyameva bhoktavyaṃ kṛtaṃ karma śubhāśubham
There is no destruction of karma once performed, even across hundreds of crores of kalpas. Whatever karma has been done—auspicious or inauspicious—must inevitably be experienced as its result.

It affirms the unfailing law of karma: actions do not simply vanish with time; their fruits must be faced. In Shaiva understanding, this encourages ethical living and sincere Shiva-bhakti as the means to purify and ultimately transcend bondage.
Linga worship centers the devotee in remembrance of Pati (Shiva), the Lord who governs karmic order. While karma’s fruits operate unfailingly, devotion, repentance, and disciplined worship at Shiva’s sacred forms (including Jyotirlingas) are taught as powerful means of inner purification and turning toward liberation.
Regular japa of the Panchakshara mantra ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") with a vow of dharmic conduct is the practical takeaway; it supports purification of intention and steadiness in facing karmic results with surrender to Shiva.
