Kāmarūpeśvara’s Trial and Śiva’s Hidden Protection (कামरूपेश्वर-रक्षा-प्रसङ्गः)
तद्बलं हि समाश्रित्य विजेतुं त्वं समीहसे । तर्हि त्वया जितं सर्वं नात्र कार्या विचारणा
tadbalaṃ hi samāśritya vijetuṃ tvaṃ samīhase | tarhi tvayā jitaṃ sarvaṃ nātra kāryā vicāraṇā
Relying upon that very power, you seek to conquer. If so, then by you everything is already conquered—there is no need for any further deliberation here.

The verse emphasizes śaraṇāgati (taking refuge): when one relies on Shiva’s śakti rather than egoic effort, victory is assured—symbolizing conquest over bondage (pāśa) and inner obstacles.
In Kotirudrasaṁhitā’s Jyotirliṅga context, trusting “that power” points to leaning on Saguna Shiva as the accessible Lord (Pati) whose grace makes spiritual attainment certain, just as the Jyotirliṅga is a tangible focus for that refuge.
Practice refuge through japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with steady devotion; let the intention be surrender to Shiva’s strength rather than self-assertion.
