It highlights the Shaiva Siddhanta emphasis on śaraṇāgati (surrender): blessings and relief arise when devotees approach Śiva with humility, folded hands, and heartfelt prayer.
The verse depicts direct reverential worship of Saguna Śiva—bowing and praying—reflecting the Purāṇic mode of approaching Śiva as the compassionate Lord who responds to devotion, often centered on Liṅga-upāsanā in Kotirudra narratives.
A simple upacāra of namaskāra with añjali (folded hands) and sincere prayer is implied; in Shaiva practice this is commonly paired with mental japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and respectful invocation before worship.
