Then (he described) the root, the covering, the filaments, and the radiant inner essence that pervades all; and thereafter the central pericarp with its five knots, along with the petals surrounding it.

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It presents a contemplative map of the inner lotus—layers like root, cover, filaments, core, and petals—pointing to Shiva as the radiant, all-pervading presence within the embodied (sakala) realm, suitable for yogic inward worship.
The lotus-structure functions like a subtle Linga-symbol: the devotee moves from outer supports to the luminous center, worshipping Shiva in a saguna mode (as knowable radiance within form) while being led toward the deeper, formless truth.
A dhyāna practice: visualize the heart-lotus and progress inward to the radiant core, mentally offering worship (manasa-puja) to Shiva, ideally accompanied by japa of the Panchakshara—"Om Namaḥ Śivāya".
