Puruṣa–Prakṛti Analysis in Advaita Śaiva Doctrine
त्वं शिवो हि शिवाचारी सम्प्राप्ताद्वैतभावतः । विचरंलोकरक्षायै सुखमक्षयमाप्नुहि
tvaṃ śivo hi śivācārī samprāptādvaitabhāvataḥ | vicaraṃlokarakṣāyai sukhamakṣayamāpnuhi
“You are indeed Śiva—one who lives by Śiva’s own sacred discipline—having realized non-dual awareness. Therefore, move about to protect the worlds, and attain imperishable bliss.”
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: teaching
The verse affirms that true Śiva-realization culminates in non-dual awareness and expresses itself as compassionate responsibility—protecting and uplifting the world—while abiding in imperishable bliss.
Worship of the Liṅga (Saguna focus) purifies and stabilizes devotion and discipline (śivācāra), which matures into inner realization of Śiva’s presence; the verse points to that fruition—non-dual Śiva-consciousness—without rejecting devotional practice.
It implies steady śivācāra: japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), meditation on Śiva, and a life of dharma; the practical outcome is service for loka-rakṣā (protecting beings) rooted in yogic equanimity.
