Puruṣa–Prakṛti Analysis in Advaita Śaiva Doctrine
इदं रहस्यम्परमं प्रतिष्ठितमतस्त्वयि । त्वमपि श्रद्धया भक्त्या प्रणवेष्वेव सादरम्

This supreme secret is firmly established in you; therefore, you too should, with faith and devotion, reverently apply yourself to the Pranava (Oṁ) alone.
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Significance: Centers praṇava-upāsanā as a direct means to Śiva-realization; supports the Siddhānta view that mantra and devotion, under grace, mature into liberating knowledge.
Mantra: oṃ (praṇava)
Type: gayatri
Role: liberating
It teaches that the highest truth (the “supreme secret”) is realized through inner steadfastness and is approached by śraddhā (trust) and bhakti (devotion), focusing the mind on the Pranava—Oṁ—as the doorway to Shiva, the supreme Pati.
Pranava-upāsanā supports both: Oṁ can be meditated as Shiva’s subtle sound-form (leading toward nirguṇa realization) and also used in devotional worship alongside saguna forms such as the Shiva-Linga, where mantra and reverence stabilize the devotee’s concentration.
Reverent Pranava japa (Oṁ repetition) with faith and devotion—performed as steady meditation (dhyāna) or as mantra recitation before/with Shiva worship; it aligns the practitioner toward Shaiva liberation-oriented upāsanā.
