गजाननपूजा तथा औपासन-होमविधिः
Worship of Gajānana and the Procedure of Aupāsana-Homa
इयम्भगवती साक्षाच्छंकरार्द्धशरीरिणी । पंचवक्त्रा दशभुजा विपञ्चनयनोज्ज्वला
iyambhagavatī sākṣācchaṃkarārddhaśarīriṇī | paṃcavaktrā daśabhujā vipañcanayanojjvalā
She is the Blessed Goddess herself—manifest indeed—bearing Śaṅkara as half of her very body. She is five-faced, ten-armed, and radiant with the dazzling splendor of many eyes.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Ardhanārīśvara
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
The verse affirms the inseparable unity of Śiva (Pati) and Śakti: the Goddess is not separate from Śaṅkara, but shares one being with Him—guiding the devotee to see liberation as arising through divine grace and non-dual harmony of consciousness and power.
It supports Saguna worship by describing a concrete divine form: Śiva is adored along with His Śakti, since the Linga signifies Śiva’s presence and power, and this verse emphasizes that power is personally present as the Goddess, one with Him.
Meditate on Ardhanārī (Śiva-Śakti as one) while repeating the Pañcākṣarī mantra—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and contemplate that grace and liberation flow from Śiva together with His intrinsic Śakti.
