Worship of Gajānana and the Procedure of Aupāsana-Homa
तत्तद्देवान्समुद्दिश्य सांगं कुर्य्याद्विचक्षणः । एवमग्निमुखाद्यं यत्कर्मतन्त्रम्प्रवर्त्तितम्
tattaddevānsamuddiśya sāṃgaṃ kuryyādvicakṣaṇaḥ | evamagnimukhādyaṃ yatkarmatantrampravarttitam
Having duly invoked each of the respective deities, the discerning practitioner should perform the rite together with all its prescribed auxiliaries. Thus the entire ritual system—beginning with oblations into the sacred fire—has been set in motion according to the ordained procedure.

Tattva Level: pasha
It teaches that worship becomes spiritually effective when done as a complete discipline—invoking the appropriate divine powers and performing the rite with all its prescribed aṅgas—so the practitioner’s karma is purified and oriented toward Shiva’s grace.
Though the verse speaks generally of ritual procedure, it supports Saguna Shiva worship by emphasizing orderly, complete performance—invocation, offerings (including fire rites), and auxiliaries—through which the devotee approaches Shiva in a consecrated, rule-guided way.
Perform the worship sāṅga—i.e., with complete components such as proper sankalpa, mantra-recitation (including Panchakshara where applicable), offerings, and homa beginning with Agni—rather than incomplete or casual ritual.
