Vāmadeva-mata: Rahasya-upadeśa
The Esoteric Teaching of Vāmadeva’s Doctrine
एवं स्थिते जगत्यस्मिञ्छिवादन्यन्न विद्यते । सर्व्वरूपधरः स्वामी शिवो व्यापी महेश्वरः
evaṃ sthite jagatyasmiñchivādanyanna vidyate | sarvvarūpadharaḥ svāmī śivo vyāpī maheśvaraḥ
Thus, in this world as it truly stands, there is nothing apart from Śiva. The Lord Śiva—Mahādeva, the all-pervading Maheśvara—is the sovereign Master who assumes every form.
Suta Goswami (narrating the Kailāsa teachings to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
It affirms Śiva as Pati (the Supreme Lord): the one reality pervading all names and forms, so liberation comes through recognizing everything as dependent on and suffused by Śiva.
Because Śiva is ‘sarva-rūpa-dhara’ (the bearer of all forms), the Liṅga is a valid sacred focus: a concrete emblem through which devotees approach the all-pervading Lord who is beyond yet present within form.
Meditate on Śiva’s vyāpti (all-pervasion) while repeating the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and support it with Śaiva markers like bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa to steady devotion and contemplation.
