ॐ मितीदं सर्वमिति श्रुतिराह सनातनी । ओमिति ब्रह्म सर्व्वं हि ब्रह्मेति च समब्रवीत्
oṃ mitīdaṃ sarvamiti śrutirāha sanātanī | omiti brahma sarvvaṃ hi brahmeti ca samabravīt
The eternal Śruti declares, “Oṁ—this indeed is all.” It further proclaims, “Oṁ is Brahman; truly, all is Brahman,” and thus it affirms the supreme Reality.

It identifies Om as the all-encompassing principle and aligns it with Brahman, pointing the seeker toward non-dual realization where all existence is understood as rooted in the Supreme (Pati) beyond limitation.
Om functions as the sonic gateway from Saguna worship (Linga, form, ritual) to the understanding of Nirguna reality; in Shaiva Siddhanta practice, it supports seeing the Linga as the accessible symbol of the Supreme whose essence pervades all.
Japa and contemplation on “Om” (praṇava) with inward absorption—ideally preceding or accompanying Panchākṣarī practice—so the mind rests in the sense that the Supreme pervades all and leads toward liberation.
