Mantra: महाप्रज्ञाकरं ह्येतच्छिवभक्तिविवर्द्धनम् । आयुरारोग्यधनकृत्सर्व्वकामप्रदं सदा
Type: stotra
Role: nurturing
Offering: naivedya
The verse praises a Shaiva observance as a direct means to deepen Shiva-bhakti; in Shaiva Siddhanta terms, increasing devotion and clarity of intellect prepares the soul (paśu) to receive Shiva’s grace (pati-anugraha), which ultimately loosens bondage (pāśa).
By highlighting tangible and inner fruits (wisdom, health, prosperity, fulfillment), the verse reflects Saguna Shiva’s compassionate accessibility—devotional worship (often centered on the Linga with mantra and offerings) yields both worldly well-being and spiritual uplift when aligned with dharma.
The verse points to a specific Shaiva practice being discussed in the chapter; as a practical takeaway, one may perform regular Shiva-puja with Panchakshara japa ("Om Namah Shivaya") and disciplined devotion, seeking wisdom and purity rather than mere gratification.
