Vāmadeva-mata: Rahasya-upadeśa
The Esoteric Teaching of Vāmadeva’s Doctrine
इति स्कन्दस्तवन्दिव्यं वामदेवेन भाषितम् । यः पठेच्छृणुयाद्वापि स याति परमां गतिम्
iti skandastavandivyaṃ vāmadevena bhāṣitam | yaḥ paṭhecchṛṇuyādvāpi sa yāti paramāṃ gatim
Thus ends the divine hymn in praise of Skanda, as spoken by Vāmadeva. Whoever recites it or even listens to it attains the supreme goal—liberation through the grace that flows from devotion to Śiva’s divine son.

Tattva Level: pashu
Mantra: इति स्कन्दस्तवन्दिव्यं वामदेवेन भाषितम् । यः पठेच्छृणुयाद्वापि स याति परमां गतिम्
Type: stotra
Role: liberating
It declares the phalaśruti (fruit) of the Skanda-stotra: sincere recitation or even attentive listening purifies the bound soul (paśu) and leads toward the supreme state (paramā gati), i.e., mokṣa, by divine grace.
Skanda is honored as Śiva’s divine son and a saguna manifestation connected to Śiva’s household (gaṇa and family). Devotion to Skanda is therefore an extension of devotion to Śiva, supporting bhakti that culminates in liberation.
Practice śravaṇa and pāṭha: regularly listen to or recite the hymn with devotion and purity of intent, treating the stotra as a focused bhakti-sādhana (devotional discipline) aimed at the highest goal.
