ये वायव इन्द्रमादनास आदेवासो नितोशनासो अर्यः । घ्नन्तो वृत्राणि सूरिभिः ष्याम सासह्वांसो युधा नृभिरमित्रान् ॥

yé vāyava indrámādanāsa ā́devāso nitóśanāso aryáḥ | ghnánto vṛtrā́ṇi sūríbhíḥ syāma sāsahvā́ṃso yúdhā nṛ́bhir amítrān ||

O Vāyus (powers of the Life-Wind), delighting in Indra, godward and eager for the increase, noble in the march—may we, with our illumined leaders, smite the Vṛtras. May we be conquerors in the battle, overcoming the hostile forces with our strong men.
