Sukta 1.55
स इन्महानि समिथानि मज्मना कृणोति युध्म ओजसा जनेभ्यः । अधा चन श्रद्दधति त्विषीमत इन्द्राय वज्रं निघनिघ्नते वधम् ॥
स इन्म॒हानि॑ समि॒थानि॑ म॒ज्मना॑ कृ॒णोति॑ यु॒ध्म ओज॑सा॒ जने॑भ्यः । अधा॑ च॒न श्रद्द॑धति॒ त्विषी॑मत॒ इन्द्रा॑य॒ वज्रं॑ नि॒घनि॑घ्नते व॒धम् ॥
sa ín mahā́ni samithā́ni majmánā kṛṇóti yudhmá ójasā jánebhyaḥ | ádhā caná śrád dadhati tviṣī́mate índrāya vájraṃ ni-gháni-ghnate vadhám ||
He indeed accomplishes the great battles by his plenitude, the warrior, by strength for the peoples. Then they set their faith in the radiant one; for Indra they hammer out the thunderbolt, striking and striking—fashioning the slaying force against the obstruction.
