Shloka 6.92.15

युद्धकाण्डे द्विनवतितमः सर्गः — Indrajit’s Fall, Rama’s Embrace, and Sushena’s Battlefield Healing

अद्याहंविजयीशत्रौहतेतस्मिन् दुरात्मनि ।रावणस्यनृशंसस्यदिष्ट्यावीरत्वयारणे ।।6.92.14।।छिन्नोहिदक्षिणोबाहुः स हितस्यव्यपाश्रयः ।विभीषणहनूमद्भ्यांकृतंकर्ममहद्रणे ।।6.92.15।।

chinnaḥ hi dakṣiṇo bāhuḥ sa hitasya vyapāśrayaḥ |

vibhīṣaṇa-hanūmadbhyāṃ kṛtaṃ karma mahad raṇe ||6.92.15||

Truly, his right arm—on which his welfare depended—has been cut off. In battle, Vibhīṣaṇa and Hanūmān have accomplished a great deed.

'Ravana was depending on Indrajith indeed. Now by that a great action of severing his right hand in comb at by Vibheeshana and Hanuman, I consider victorious.'

Dharma here highlights honoring righteous allies and recognizing merit: noble action in a just cause should be acknowledged, strengthening ethical leadership and collective responsibility.

After Indrajit’s fall and the turning of the battle, Rāma points out the decisive harm done to the enemy’s effective power—crediting Vibhīṣaṇa and Hanumān for a major battlefield achievement.
