पाक्षमभिसङ्कृद्धो मैन्दो वानरयूथपः ।पीडयामासबाहुभ्यांसपपातहतःक्षितौ ।।।।
pākṣam abhisaṅkṛddhō maindō vānarayūthapaḥ |
pīḍayāmāsa bāhubhyāṃ sa papāta hataḥ kṣitau ||
Enraged, Mainda—the leader of the Vānara host—pressed Pākṣa down and crushed him in his arms, and Pākṣa fell slain upon the ground.
Vanara leader, Mainda on his part, angrily pierced Yupaksha many times who fell on the ground dead.
It reinforces the battlefield duty to neutralize a dangerous opponent. Within yuddha-dharma, force is employed to prevent further harm and protect the righteous cause.
Mainda, angered in the thick of battle, overpowers and kills the rākṣasa Pākṣa by crushing him with his arms.
