Hearing Vibhīṣaṇa’s words, Jāmbavān replied: “Listen, tiger among rākṣasas—this is why I ask about Māruti (Hanumān).”
On hearing Vibheeshana, the tiger among Rakshasas, Jambavan replied, "Listen why I enquired about Maruthi."
Dharma values accountable speech—when questioned, one should explain one’s motives openly and truthfully (satya) to prevent misunderstanding.
Jāmbavān prepares to justify his special inquiry about Hanumān to Vibhīṣaṇa.
Respect and transparency—Jāmbavān answers without resentment, addressing Vibhīṣaṇa honorifically while offering reasons.
