कुम्भकर्णवधश्रवणेन रावणविलापः (Ravana’s Lament on Hearing of Kumbhakarna’s Slaying)
एतेदेवगणास्सार्थमृषिभिर्गगनेस्थिताः ।निहतंत्वांरणेदृष्टवानिनदन्तिप्रहर्षिताः ।।।।
yasya te vajraniṣpeṣo na kuryād vyasanaṃ sadā |
sa kathaṃ rāmabāṇārtaṃ prasupto 'si mahītale ||
You whom even the crushing blow of Indra’s thunderbolt could never bring to ruin—how is it that now, pained and wounded by Rāma’s arrows, you lie upon the earth as though asleep?
"These Devatas and all sages are standing in the sky, seeing the battle and laughing aloud seeing your destruction."
It points to the moral that no worldly invincibility is absolute; Dharma ultimately prevails over pride, and violence invites its own end.
Rāvaṇa mourns and marvels at Kumbhakarṇa’s fall, contrasting his famed toughness with his present lifeless state.
Rāma’s focused resolve (satya-niṣṭhā) and disciplined heroism are implied as the decisive force behind the arrows.
