कुम्भकर्णप्रस्थानम् तथा अङ्गदप्रेरणा (Kumbhakarna’s sortie and Angada’s rallying of the Vanaras)

न कुम्भकर्णःकाकुत्स्थंदृष्टवाजीवन् गमिष्यति ।दीप्यमानमिवासाद्यपतङ्गोज्वलनंयथा ।।।।

na kumbhakarṇaḥ kākutsthaṁ dṛṣṭvā jīvan gamiṣyati |

dīpyamānam ivāsādya pataṅgo jvalanaṁ yathā ||

Kumbhakarṇa will not depart alive once he has faced the Kakutstha—just as a moth, reaching a blazing fire, cannot escape.

"Just as flies reaching the blazing fire can't escape, so also Kumbhakarna can't escape with life after facing Kakuthsa."

K
Kumbhakarṇa
R
Rāma (Kākutstha)
F
fire (jvalana)
M
moth/insect (pataṅga)

Adharma ultimately collapses before dharma: the tyrant’s power cannot stand when confronted by righteous authority.

The Vānaras are reassured that Kumbhakarṇa’s charge is not invincible because Rāma’s presence makes his defeat inevitable.

Śraddhā (trust) in dharmic leadership—confidence that righteousness has decisive force in the war.
