कुम्भकर्णप्रस्थानम् तथा अङ्गदप्रेरणा (Kumbhakarna’s sortie and Angada’s rallying of the Vanaras)
तस्यगात्रेषुपतिताभिद्यन्तेशतशश्शिलाः ।पादपाःपुष्पिताग्राश्चभग्नाःपेतुर्महीतले ।।।।
tasya gātreṣu patitā bhidyante śataśaḥ śilāḥ | pādapāḥ puṣpitāgrāś ca bhagnāḥ petur mahītale ||
As they fell upon his limbs, hundreds of rocks shattered; and flowering-topped trees too broke apart and crashed down upon the earth.
Fallen on his limbs many rocks got broken, even the treetops with blossoms were broken and fell on the ground.
Consequences of force: the verse underscores how sheer power can render aggression ineffective—inviting reflection on wise means versus reckless violence.
The vānara missiles (rocks/trees) strike Kumbhakarṇa but are destroyed on impact and fall to the earth.
