Rāvaṇa’s Assault on Nīla and Lakṣmaṇa; Hanumān Bears Rāma
सलक्ष्मणश्चापिशरान् शिताग्रान्महेन्द्रतुल्योऽशनितुल्यवेगान् ।सन्धायचापेज्वलनप्रकाशान् ससर्जरक्षोधिपतेर्वधाय ।।6.59.103।।
sa lakṣmaṇaś cāpi śarān śitāgrān mahendratulyo 'śanitulyavegān | sandhāya cāpe jvalanaprakāśān sasarja rakṣodhipater vadhāya ||6.59.103||
Then Lakṣmaṇa too—like mighty Indra—set upon his bow sharp-pointed arrows, swift as a thunderbolt and radiant like fire, and loosed them to slay the lord of the rākṣasas.
Lakshmana also, who is comparable to Mahendra, fitting his bow and arrows that shone like fire released sharp and pointed arrows to put an end to Rakshasa king.
Dharma permits decisive force against a tyrannical aggressor; the aim is protection of righteousness, not cruelty.
Lakṣmaṇa escalates his counterattack, launching powerful, blazing arrows intended to bring down Rāvaṇa.
Śaurya guided by purpose—courage directed toward ending adharma.
