Shloka 6.54.15
वज्रदंष्ट्रवधः — The Slaying of Vajradaṃṣṭra (Angada’s Duel)
त्रस्ताःसर्वेहरिगणाःशरैःसङ्कृत्तकन्दरा:।। 6.54.15।।अङ्गदंसम्प्रधावन्तिप्रजापतिमिवप्रजाः ।
trastāḥ sarve harigaṇāḥ śaraiḥ saṅkṛttakandarāḥ | aṅgadaṃ sampradhāvanti prajāpatimiva prajāḥ ||
Stricken with fear, all the Hari troops, their necks pierced by arrows, ran to Aṅgada for shelter, as beings seek refuge in Prajāpati, the Creator.
Struck with fear the Vanaras sought the protection of Angada just as people seek protection of Brahma, the creator of beings.
The Vanaras were terrified and wounded by arrows in battle, and they looked to Angada for safety and leadership amidst the chaos.
The simile compares Angada to Prajapati (Brahma), highlighting his role as a supreme protector and father figure to the Vanara army during their moment of existential crisis.
