When the two heroes lay fallen and bound, the Vānaras stood all around them; gathered under the leadership of the Son of the Wind, they were stricken with grief and sank into the deepest despondency.

Both Rama and Lakshmana bleeding excessively, wounded profusely, looked bright and red like Kimsuka trees with flowers.

Dharma as steadfast companionship: even when leaders are incapacitated, the community’s duty is to protect, gather, and not abandon them.

Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa lie bound and fallen; the Vānara host, led by Hanumān, encircles them and is overwhelmed with grief.

Hanumān’s responsible leadership and the Vānaras’ fidelity—protective solidarity in a moment of crisis.
