इन्द्रजितः अन्तर्धानयुद्धं — Indrajit’s Concealed Assault and the Fall of Rama and Lakshmana
निरन्तरशीरीरौतुतावुभौरामलक्ष्मणौ ।क्रुद्धेनेन्द्रजितावीरौपन्नगैश्शरतांगतैः ।।6.45.8।।
harayaś cāpi taṃ dṛṣṭvā santāpaṃ paramaṃ gatāḥ |
śokārtāś cukruśur ghoraṃ aśrupūritalocanāḥ ||6.45.27||
Even the Vānaras, seeing him thus, were seized by extreme anguish; tormented by grief, they cried out terribly, their eyes brimming with tears.
Both Rama and Lakshmana were pierced by furious Indrajith with serpents like arrows furious.
Compassionate loyalty as dharma: the allies’ grief shows righteous bonds—standing with the good not only in triumph but also in apparent defeat.
After Rāma is struck down/immobilized by Indrajit’s weapons, the Vānara forces witness his condition and break into cries of despair.
