O night-ranger! The time has arrived for the hard, inescapable reckoning of the sins you committed—through delusion and arrogance—against sages, gods, Gandharvas and Apsarases, Nāgas, Yakṣas, and kings. Surely today your pride, born of boons granted by the Self-born (Brahmā), will be brought low.

"O night ranger! the time has come for punishment for the sins committed by you to the sages, Devatas, so also to Gandharvas, celestial beauties, Nagas, Yakshas and the kings because of your delusion in conceit. Surely your pride about the boons begotten from the self-born creator will be gone, said Rama.

Karma and dharma: wrongdoing against the innocent and the righteous inevitably ripens into consequences; arrogance based on power or boons cannot cancel moral law.

Rāma’s message condemns Rāvaṇa’s long history of abuses and declares that the time for unavoidable recompense has arrived.

Nyāya (justice) in Rāma—truthfully naming harm done and upholding accountability without personal malice.
