ताभ्यांचराभ्यांसहितोरावणःक्रोधमूर्छितः ।पश्यमानस्समुद्रंचपर्वतांश्चवनानिच ।।।।ददर्शपृथिवीदेशंसुसम्पूर्णंप्लवङ्गमैः ।

Transliteration

tābhyāṁ carābhyāṁ sahito rāvaṇaḥ krodha-mūrchitaḥ |

paśyamānaḥ samudraṁ ca parvatāṁś ca vanāni ca ||

dadarśa pṛthivī-deśaṁ su-sampūrṇaṁ plavaṅgamaiḥ ||6.26.6||

Translation

Accompanied by those two spies, Rāvaṇa—his mind clouded by anger—looked upon the sea, the mountains, and the forests, and saw the whole region of the land completely filled with Vanaras.

Context

Deluded with anger Ravana along with both the spies observed the sea, the mountains and the woods crowded with monkeys in that region of the earth.
