शुकसारण-चारप्रवेशः (Suka and Sāraṇa’s Espionage and Release)

Thus, having been instructed in reply, the two rākṣasas—Śuka and Sāraṇa—praised Rāghava, devoted to dharma, crying “Victory!”; and upon reaching the city of Laṅkā, they spoke to the lord of the rākṣasas.

Having heard the reply of Rama, both the Rakshasas Suka and Saarana praising Rama saying, "Victory to you!" reached Lanka and said to the king of Rakshasas as follows.

Ś
Śuka
S
Sāraṇa
R
Rāghava (Rāma)
L
Laṅkā
R
Rākṣasādhipa (Rāvaṇa)

Even opponents may recognize dharma: genuine righteousness can command respect across enemy lines, showing dharma’s universal moral authority.

After receiving Rāma’s message and being released, Śuka and Sāraṇa return to Laṅkā and report to Rāvaṇa.

Rāma’s dharma-centered reputation (dharmavatsala) that compels even adversaries to acknowledge his nobility.
