भरद्वाजाश्रम-समागमः / Meeting Bharadvaja at the Hermitage (Homeward Blessings)
साम्प्रतंतुसमृद्धार्थंसमित्रगणबान्धवम् ।।6.127.8।।समीक्ष्यविजितारिं च समाभूप्रतीतिरुत्तमा ।
sāmprataṁ tu samṛddhārthaṁ samitragaṇabāndhavam |
samīkṣya vijitāriṁ ca samā bhūḥ prītir uttamā ||6.127.8||
But now, seeing you—your purpose fulfilled, surrounded by friends, companions, and kinsmen, and having conquered your enemies—my joy has become complete and supreme.
"I am happy to see you coming to me, who have completed the task and won the enemies and after successful completion, you are meeting relatives and friends."
It frames victory not merely as conquest, but as the rightful completion of a vowed duty (kārya-siddhi) and the restoration of moral order—Dharma—after the defeat of adharma.
Satya is implied in the idea of 'samṛddhārtha'—the fulfillment of a declared purpose and promise. The joy arises because the intended righteous commitment has been truly carried through to completion.
