“O Vibhīṣaṇa, let all the forest-dwellers—each of them who exerted themselves and accomplished the work—be duly honored with jewels, wealth, and diverse gifts.”
Delighted and thrilled, Rama was flying in the sky in Pushpaka and with shining swans, he shone like Kubera.
Kṛtajñatā (gratitude) expressed through dāna (generous rewarding): those who serve a righteous cause should be honored materially and respectfully.
Rāma instructs the newly anointed king Vibhīṣaṇa to reward the forest allies who helped win Laṅkā.
Rāma’s fairness and gratitude—recognizing collective effort and ensuring allies are not forgotten after victory.
