Serve Rāma—may good be yours, O enhancer of Sumitrā’s joy. Rāma is ever engaged in what is auspicious for all the worlds.
"O Lakshmana, the enhancer of Sumithra's joy, 'Be auspicious. Rama will always remain good in the service of the three worlds."
Service to a dharmic leader is endorsed because such a leader is committed to universal welfare (sarvaloka-śubha); personal duty aligns with common good.
Daśaratha gives Lakṣmaṇa a direct exhortation: continue attending upon Rāma, whose nature is to act for the auspicious welfare of all.
Loyal service and trust in Rāma’s beneficent intent—seeing governance and action as oriented to śubha (auspicious good).
