दशरथदर्शनम् — Dasharatha’s Epiphany and Benedictions (Sarga 122)
इतिब्रुवाणंराजानंरामःप्राञ्जलिरब्रवीत् ।कुरुप्रसादंधर्मज्ञकैकेय्याभरतस्य च ।।।।
iti bruvāṇaṃ rājānaṃ rāmaḥ prāñjalir abravīt |
kuru prasādaṃ dharmajña kaikeyyāḥ bharatasya ca ||
As the king spoke thus, Rāma—with palms joined—replied: “O knower of dharma, show grace also toward Kaikeyī and toward Bharata.”
Dasaratha having spoken to Rama, offered salutations with joined palms and said," You are righteous. Be gracious to Bharata and Kaikeyi also."
Dharma as compassion and reconciliation: even after suffering, one should seek grace and healing for all members of the family.
Rāma responds respectfully to Daśaratha and requests that Daśaratha’s attitude be gracious toward Kaikeyī and Bharata.
Kṣamā (forbearance/forgiveness) and magnanimity—Rāma refuses to nurture resentment.
