दशरथदर्शनम् — Dasharatha’s Epiphany and Benedictions (Sarga 122)
न मेस्वर्गोबहुमतस्सम्मानश्चसुरर्षभैः ।त्वयारामविहीनस्यसत्यंप्रतिशृणोमिते ।।।।
na me svargo bahumataḥ sammānaś ca surarṣabhaiḥ | tvayā rāma-vihīnasya satyaṃ pratiśṛṇomi te ||
“For me, even heaven held no worth, nor honors from the foremost among the gods, so long as I was bereft of you, O Rāma. This is the truth; I pledge it to you.”
"Rama separated from you, even the suras and sages honouring me in heaven does not give me happiness. It is true and I promise."
Satya (truthfulness) is foregrounded: Daśaratha explicitly frames his statement as truth and seals it with a pledge.
Daśaratha speaks to Rāma after appearing in a celestial form, expressing how separation from Rāma made even heaven joyless.
Daśaratha’s sincerity and truth-bound speech (satya-vākya), revealing the moral weight of honest testimony.
