एवमुक्तस्तुहनुमान् सीतयावाक्यकोविदः ।।6.116.48।।प्रत्युवाचततस्सीतांरामपत्नीयशश्विनीम् ।
evam uktas tu hanumān sītayā vākyakovidaḥ | pratyuvāca tataḥ sītāṃ rāmapatnīṃ yaśasvinīm || 6.116.48 ||
Thus addressed by Sītā, Hanumān—skilled in speech—then replied to the illustrious Sītā, the wife of Rāma.
Sita, having spoken that way to Hanuman, he, who was capable of good expression, replied as follows to Rama's consort, who was irreproachable.
Respectful discourse: dharma is also upheld through measured, skillful speech in sensitive moments.
The narration marks a shift from Sītā’s counsel to Hanumān’s response.
Hanumān’s vāg-vaibhava (eloquence) employed in service of dharma and duty.
