Shloka 6.114.116

रावणस्य अन्त्येष्टिः — Ravana’s Funeral Rites and the Ethics of Post-War Conduct

दारुपात्राणिसर्वाणिआरणिंचोत्तारारणिम् ।।।।दत्त्वातुमुसलंचान्यथास्थानंविचक्षणा: ।

dārupātrāṇi sarvāṇi āraṇiṃ cottarāraṇim | dattvā tu musalaṃ cānya-yathāsthānaṃ vicakṣaṇāḥ ||

The knowledgeable ones then arranged all the wooden vessels, the fire-kindling sticks (āraṇi and upper-āraṇi), the pestle, and the other implements—each in its proper place.

The learned having placed everything including wooden vessels, wooden ladle to kindle fire, wooden pestle, spoon, and all other requirements at the right place.

Dharma is expressed as careful, correct action: righteousness is not only intention but also competent execution of duties according to established procedure.

The attendants prepare the required implements for the funeral rites, laying them out systematically so the rite can proceed without disorder.

Vicakṣaṇatā (skill and discernment): the ability to place each requirement correctly and act with method.
