रावणस्य अन्त्येष्टिः — Ravana’s Funeral Rites and the Ethics of Post-War Conduct

अन्तःपुराणिसर्वाणिरुदमानानिसत्वरम् ।।।।पृष्ठतोऽनुययुस्तानिप्लवमानानिसर्वतः ।

antaḥpurāṇi sarvāṇi rudamānāni satvaram | pṛṣṭhato 'nuyayus tāni plavamānāni sarvataḥ ||

All the women of the inner palace, weeping, hurried from every side and followed behind, moving in agitation and grief.

All the women from the gynaeceum weeping aloud from all sides hastened at quick paces and followed sobbing.

Dharma acknowledges human grief while still moving toward rightful action; mourning coexists with the duty to complete final rites.

The palace women, overcome with sorrow, rush out and follow the funeral procession.
