अभिज्ञानवृत्तान्त-प्रत्यायनम् (Token of Recognition and the Crow–Brahmāstra Episode)
गमने च कृतोत्साहमवेक्ष्य वरवर्णिनी।।।।विवर्धमानं च हि मामुवाच जनकात्मजा।
gamane ca kṛtotsāham avekṣya varavarṇinī |
vivardhamānaṃ ca hi mām uvāca janakātmajā ||
Seeing that I was ready to depart—and that my form was growing larger—the fair-complexioned daughter of Janaka spoke to me.
"Seeing me eager to depart and growing in size, the loving daughter of Janaka said.
Dharma here is purposeful action: the messenger prepares to fulfill his duty, and Sītā responds with timely instruction—right speech at the right moment.
Hanumān is about to depart Laṅkā after meeting Sītā; she observes his readiness and his expanding form and begins giving her message.
Hanumān’s resolve and readiness to serve; Sītā’s composure and clarity in giving instructions despite distress.
