वैदेह्या वचनं श्रुत्वा करुणं साश्रु भाषितम्।पुनरप्यहमार्यां तामिदं वचनमब्रुवम्।।।।
vaidehyā vacanaṃ śrutvā karuṇaṃ sāśru bhāṣitam |
punar apy aham āryāṃ tām idaṃ vacanam abruvam ||
Hearing Vaidehī’s piteous words, spoken through tears, I once again addressed these words to that noble lady.
"On hearing Vaidehi's piteous words, I once again said this to the noble lady:
Dharma here appears as compassionate speech: responding to another’s sorrow with steadiness and supportive words.
After Sītā’s lament, Hanūmān resumes speaking to reassure her and guide her from despair toward hope.
Hanūmān’s empathy and responsibility as a messenger—he listens first, then speaks to heal.
