चूडामणि-दर्शनम् — Rama Receives Sita’s Token and Questions Hanuman
मणिरत्नमिदं दत्तं वैदेह्याश्श्वशुरेण मे।वधूकाले यथाबद्धमधिकं मूर्ध्नि शोभते।।।।
madhurā madhurālāpā kim āha mama bhāminī |
mad-vihīnā varārohā hanuman kathayasva me ||
What did my beloved say—she who is lovely and sweet-spoken, that noble lady now separated from me? O Hanumān, tell it to me.
"At the time of marriage, this jewel was presented by my father-in-law. Vaidehi wore it on her forehead and it looked charming.
Dharma is reverent regard for the virtuous and truthful hearing: Rāma seeks Sītā’s words as guidance and strength, emphasizing that righteous action must be informed by truthful communication.
Rāma, overwhelmed by separation, urges Hanumān to recount Sītā’s message in full.
Rāma’s respectful love and steadiness—he honors Sītā’s character and longs for her truthful message rather than mere consolation.
