न चाप्यदृष्ट्वा वैदेहीं विश्रुताः पुरुषर्षभ।।।।वनं दत्तवरं दिव्यं धर्षयेयुर्वनौकसः।

na cāpy adṛṣṭvā vaidehīṃ viśrutāḥ puruṣarṣabha | vanaṃ dattavaraṃ divyaṃ dharṣayeyur vanaukasaḥ ||

O best of men, those renowned forest-dwellers would not violate this wondrous, boon-granted grove without having seen Vaidehī.

"If the renowned vanaras had not seen Vaidehi, they would not have entered the wonderful garden granted as boon (by Brahma).

Dharma weighs reputation and prior restraint: people known for discipline do not transgress sacred or protected property without a compelling righteous cause.

Dadhimukha insists that the famed vānaras’ trespass must mean they have already achieved the crucial goal—sighting Sītā.

Respect for satya through character-evidence: Dadhimukha relies on the vānaras’ established renown to support the truth of the discovery.
