“Venerable Lakṣmaṇa,” he said, “the heroic monkey Dadhimukha reports that the honey has been consumed by the valiant vānaras led by Aṅgada—those foremost of monkeys who have returned after searching the southern quarter.”
'O venerable Lakshmana! Dadhimukha as complaining that the fruits and honey have been consumed by the vanara heroes, Angada and others who have come after their search for Sita in the southern direction.
Truthful reporting and accountability: dharma is served when grievances are stated plainly (who did what, and why), enabling just resolution rather than rumor or anger.
Sugrīva explains to Lakṣmaṇa that Dadhimukha is reporting the Madhuvana honey being consumed by Aṅgada’s returning search party from the south.
Sugrīva’s transparency and Dadhimukha’s dutiful vigilance are emphasized—each acting according to role-based dharma.
