मधुवनभङ्गः — The Disruption of Madhuvana and Dadhimukha’s Complaint
स भग्नबाहूरुभुजो विह्वलश्शोणितोक्षितः।मुमोह सहसा वीरो मुहूर्तं कपिकुञ्जरः।।5.62.28।।
sa bhagnabāhūrubhujo vihvalaḥ śoṇitokṣitaḥ |
mumoha sahasā vīro muhūrtaṃ kapikuñjaraḥ ||5.62.28||
With his arms and limbs broken, battered and drenched in blood, that heroic ‘elephant among monkeys’ fainted at once—for a moment.
The heroic Dadhimukha, an elephant among monkeys, with his shoulders and arms broken, and body drenched in blood lost his consciousness instantly.
Adharma brings immediate harm: uncontrolled violence produces suffering and destabilizes rightful order.
Dadhimukha is severely injured in the scuffle and briefly loses consciousness.
Endurance and stature—Dadhimukha is described as mighty, even while suffering the results of the clash.
