सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः — हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्

स्थितं पन्धानमावृत्य मेने विघ्नं च तं नगम्।उपसङ्गम्य तं दिव्यं काञ्चनं नगसत्तमम्।।।।कृता मे मनसा बुद्धिर्भेत्तव्योऽयं मयेति च।

Transliteration

sthitaṁ panthānam āvṛtya mene vighnaṁ ca taṁ nagam | upasaṅgamya taṁ divyaṁ kāñcanaṁ nagasattamam || kṛtā me manasā buddhir bhettavyo 'yaṁ mayeti ca |

Translation

Blocking my path, that mountain stood as an obstacle. Drawing near that splendid, golden best of mountains, I resolved in my mind: “I must break through it and pass.”

"The mountain stood on my way turning towards me in order to obstruct me. Then I resolved in my mind that this great, wonderful, golden mountain has to be smashed.
