सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः — हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
स प्राकारमवप्लुत्य पश्यामि बहुपादपम्।अशोकवनिकामध्ये शिंशुपापादपो महान्।।।।तमारुह्य च पश्यामि काञ्चनं कदलीवनम्।
sa prākāram avaplutya paśyāmi bahu-pādapam |
aśoka-vanikā-madhye śiṃśupā-pādapo mahān ||
tam āruhya ca paśyāmi kāñcanaṃ kadalī-vanam |
Crossing over that wall, I beheld a grove filled with many kinds of trees. In the midst of the Aśoka garden stood a great śiṃśupā tree; climbing it, I saw a shining, golden-like plantation of banana trees.
"I crossed that boundary wall and saw many kinds of trees and in the midst of that Ashoka garden, a huge Simsupa tree. I ascended it and saw rows of banana plants.
Skill in service of righteousness: intelligence, stealth, and careful movement are legitimate when used to protect the innocent and fulfill a dharmic mission.
Hanumān enters the Aśoka grove by crossing its wall, locates a vantage point (the śiṃśupā tree), and surveys the area.
Kauśala (competence) and buddhi (strategic intelligence) directed toward a righteous end.
