Shloka 5.58.15
सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः — हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
अहं तु मोक्षितस्तस्मात्तव पित्रा महात्मना।।।।मारुतेन तदा वत्स प्रक्षिप्तोऽस्मि महार्णवे।
ahaṃ tu mokṣitas tasmāt tava pitrā mahātmanā | mārutena tadā vatsa prakṣipto 'smi mahārṇave |
But I was saved from that danger by your great-souled father, Māruta. Then, dear child, I was cast into the vast ocean.
'O son! I was saved from Indra by your kind father Maruta who dropped me in this great ocean.
It reflects protective duty: the righteous protect the vulnerable, and divine guardianship supports those aligned with dharma.
