Shloka 5.48.7

इन्द्रजित्प्रेषणम्—ब्रह्मास्त्रबन्धः, हनूमद्ग्रहणं, रावणसभाप्रवेशः (Indrajit’s Deployment—Brahmāstra Binding, Hanuman’s Capture, Entry into Ravana’s Court)

निहताः किङ्करास्सर्वे जम्बुमाली च राक्षसः।अमात्यपुत्रा वीराश्च पञ्च सेनाग्रयायिनः।।।।बलानि सुसमृद्धानि साश्वनागरथानि च।

nihatāḥ kiṅkarās sarve jambumālī ca rākṣasaḥ | amātyaputrā vīrāś ca pañca senāgrayāyinaḥ || balāni susamṛddhāni sāśva-nāga-rathāni ca |

“All the Kiṅkaras have been slain, along with the rākṣasa Jambumālī; the heroic sons of ministers, and the five foremost leaders of the army. Even well-equipped troops—with horses, elephants, and chariots—have been destroyed.”

"All thekinkaras, Jambumali, the heroic demons, sons of the ministers and five army generals were slain. Battalions of well-equipped army including horses, elephants and chariots were also destroyed.

It underscores accountability in governance and conflict: reckless aggression leads to loss. Dharma in statecraft requires right judgment and proportional response, not escalation born of pride.

Losses in Laṅkā are enumerated after Hanumān’s rampage and battles with successive forces.

Hanumān’s martial prowess is implied; on the opposing side, the absence of prudent strategy is highlighted.
