Considering the power of the missile, that monkey reflected on Brahmā’s favor and on his own ability to free himself; and, having weighed it, he chose to follow the command of Pitāmaha (Brahmā).

Reflecting within himself about the power of the astra, Hanuman recalled Braham's favour to him. He recalled his own power to liberate himself from the Brahmastra and resolved to abide by the order of Brahma.

Dharma is conscious choice: Hanumān evaluates options (including escape) and deliberately chooses obedience to a legitimate divine command.

Though capable of freeing himself, Hanumān decides to remain bound to honor Brahmā’s ordinance and to serve a larger purpose.

Mature responsibility: power is subordinated to principle and mission.
