अभिज्ञानमणि-प्रदानम् — The Signet Jewel as Proof and the Consolation of Sita

एवमाश्वास्य वैदेहीं हनुमान्मारुतात्मजः।गमनाय मतिं कृत्वा वैदेहीं पुनरब्रवीत्।।।।

evam āśvāsya vaidehīṃ hanumān mārutātmajaḥ |

gamanāya matiṃ kṛtvā vaidehīṃ punar abravīt ||

Having thus consoled Vaidehī, Hanumān—the son of the Wind-god—resolved to depart, and he spoke once again to Vaidehī.

Having thus consoled Vaidehi, Hanuman, son of the Wind-god resolved to depart. Once again he spoke to Vadehi:

H
Hanumān
M
Māruta (Wind-god)
S
Sītā (Vaidehī)

Dharma is compassionate duty combined with disciplined action: after giving comfort, one must return to the mission and complete what is required for the greater good.

The narration marks a transition: Hanumān has consoled Sītā and now prepares to leave, continuing the larger rescue effort.

Hanumān’s balanced virtue—tenderness in consoling the afflicted and firmness in resolve to proceed with the task.
