अभिज्ञानमणि-प्रदानम् — The Signet Jewel as Proof and the Consolation of Sita
नित्यमुत्साहयुक्ताश्च वाचश्रुत्वा त्वयेरिताः।वर्धिष्यते दाशरथेः पौरुषं मदवाप्तये।।।।
nityam utsāha-yuktāś ca vācaḥ śrutvā tvayeritāḥ | vardhiṣyate dāśaratheḥ pauruṣaṃ mad-avāptaye ||
Hearing your words—ever filled with resolve—Daśaratha’s son will have his manly valor increase, intent on winning me back.
"On hearing your ever spirited words his manliness to get me back will be charged.
Dharma here is steadfast hope grounded in righteous purpose: truthful encouragement strengthens a just cause (the restoration of a lawful marriage and protection of the innocent).
Sītā, in Laṅkā, responds to Hanumān’s assurances and expects that Rāma’s resolve will grow upon hearing Hanumān’s message.
Rāma’s pauruṣa (courage and righteous strength) is emphasized, awakened and intensified by faithful, motivating speech.
